Manali is one of the star attractions of northern india. Manali is the gateway of Rohtang pass and beyond that , to ladakh . Manali is actually two towns rolled in one. At a lover elevation , the entry point for all tourists , is new Manali, a place humming with commerce , full of shops and small restaurants. About three kilometers climbing upwards , is old manali, moving at a more sedate pace, its cafes more european than indian, as this part is favoured by European tourists, despite which it remains extremely good value for money.

Day 01 : Delhi – Manali
On arrival at Delhi airport/Railway station proceed to bus stop Chanderlok Building Janpath to catch the Volvo bus to Manali in the evening at 5.00 P.M .Overnight journey in the Bus.

Day 2: Manali- Local Sight Seeing

Arrive by AC Volvo bus from Delhi to Manali, a picture-perfect hill resort at an altitude of 1,929 meters. Set amidst pine-clad mountains, which gradually close in on both sides of the Beas and nestling in their shade, as though carved out of primeval forest, is a scattered hamlet, which comprises this picturesque summer resort. Arrive & check in the hotel. Rest of the evening is at leisure to enjoy at the local markets in Manali. Night stay in Manali.

Day 3: Manali- Rohtang Pass
Morning proceed to visit the Solang Valley, which offers fine views of glaciers and snow, capped peaks and do carry out para – gliding. A place not to be missed is Rohtang Pass, 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters (subject to weather conditions). Later back to Manali. Night stay in Manali.

Day 4: Manali – kullu Manikaran
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Manikaran, site of natural hot water springs believed to have medicinal powers.. On arrival at Manikaran, visit The Rama Temple here is built in pyramidal style and is dedicated to Lord Rama. and the Gurudwara of Shri Narayan Hari, who built it almost 60 years back. Today it provides the daily langar service (free meal) to lots of people. Later drive back to hotel in Manali. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 5: Manali – Delhi
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Manali covering the 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent wood carving, Tibetan Monastery and a handicraft center. Later proceed towards the bus station to transfer by road to Delhi by AC Volvo bus.

A must do day trip from manali is to Rohtang pass,which remains open between May to october located about 50 km from Manali, the pass is in the permafrost  region , and a breath taking sight.

A huge vista of snow greens visitors , the flat white land stretching  away from kilometers , the peak rising in the distance. other possible day trips from Manali include a visit to Naggar to see the Nicolas Roerich Museum , dedicated to the Russian artist who married to actress Devika  raniu.

In old manali , the Main Road cutting through the town moves past hotels and Himachali settlements to the end in a grassy promontory from where the Himalayas look close enough to touch. Moving down to the river Beas , you will be able to find yourself a quiet spot fro resting a while and admiring the dance of the sunlight on water . Teh Hadimba Devi Temple , located close to the bridge between old and new Manali is not only a very holy shrine , but also a striking example of architecture ,its three tiered roof rising like a pyramid . Two major temples in the area are the Manu temple , on the old Manali side of the bridge , and temple in the village of vashisht , named after the sage vashisht.
